Oceanfront Yoga here on our lower terrace is a one of a kind experience. Come join one of the most relaxing sessions San Diego has to offer. We are directly on the ocean, literally waves crashing just below your session.(Of course nothing to be worried about) Oceanfront yoga will be held from March-October…Yoga Sessions are held at the following times;
–Starting February 28th, 2016 until October, Every Sunday, beginning at 11am. Come early to enjoy the lovely scenery. Sessions times will be added throughout the year.
Jessica Matthews, M.S., E-RYT 500 is assistant professor of health and exercise science at Miramar College and associate kinesiology faculty at MiraCosta College in San Diego, California. As an innovative college professor and seasoned yoga educator, she has developed and implemented comprehensive 200- and 500-hour yoga teacher training programs at the college level in addition to teaching courses ranging from applied kinesiology and to exercise leadership.
A dynamic keynote speaker and respected educator, Jessica is the founder of Integrative Wellness Education, specializing in designing and delivering practical, science-based wellness solutions to empower individuals to live happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives. She also serves as senior advisor for health and fitness education for the American Council on Exercise (ACE), creating and offering educational content in the form of textbooks, articles, videos and online courses. Jessica also presents lectures and workshops at conferences and events worldwide, including courses in the area of yoga education, health coaching and behavioral change.
Additionally, Jessica is a freelance wellness writer and contributing fitness editor for SHAPE magazine and a featured health and fitness expert and guest host on OWNTV’s web-based series #OWNSHOW. As a trusted and recognized go-to media resource, she regularly contributes to numerous publications and media outlets, including CNN, Yoga Journal, Health magazine, NPR and The Washington Post.
An ACE® certified health coach, personal trainer and group fitness instructor as well as a an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) through Yoga Alliance and a trained SUP yoga instructor, Jessica has a bachelors degree in physical education teacher education from Coastal Carolina University and a masters degree in physical education from Canisius College. She is also currently completing a doctorate in behavioral health through Arizona State University.
